As part of ICOPs commitment to our members, we are defending your rights wherever they are attacked. Recently, we took that battle to the court of public opinion. A decision last month by the City of Chicago to violate their officer's rights to arbitration prompted us to speak out in defense of arbitration for Police Officers.
Many officers and departments may not be aware that there is free online training offered by ILETSB to comply with most of the training mandates required by the SAFE-T Act.
The ILTESB Officer Portal for monitoring compliance with the SAFE-T Act is now live. Click here to register for an account. Officers will need their PTB ID to register. PTBs can be found here.

The results of Illinois Police Officers’ Pension Investment Fund election have been announced. Scott Bowers, endorsed by ICOPs, has won his election as Trustee representing active members.

The Illinois Council of Police has improved the service to members who rely on our 24-hour emergency line. This line is vital to ICOPs members involved in a critical incident and in need of immediate union assistance.
Today is a new day for the Village of Robbins police officers as the Illinois Council of police signs off on a new agreement drastically increasing wages and conditions of employment for police officers, sergeants and commanders. We will continue to move forward in getting them the salary and benefits that they deserve. These contracts will facilitate retention and recruitment for the Village of Robbins. Congratulations to all who took part.
