ICOPs has added a new free benefit for all members, sworn and non-sworn.
All members in good standing (and certain family members) are now eligible to join the National Police Credit Union (NPCU). The National Police Credit Union offers a wide variety of financial products and specializes in serving public employees and their families.
Some services offered by NPCU include, checking accounts, savings accounts, auto loans, student loans, mortgages, and credit cards.
A benefit unique to the NPCU is that many of their loans are backed by line of duty insurance. Should a member be killed in the line of duty, they could have up to $850,000 in loans forgiven by the credit union.
They offer specials on CDs as well as free credit counseling.
